SUMMER READING PROGRAMEach summer, the Jefferson County Library sponsors a summer reading program for children and teens. This summer's programs have mystery themes and promise to be fun for all children and teens. Both programs start June 2nd and run through August 2nd.
June 2 - August 2 The Catch the Reading Bug summer reading program is for ages 0-11 years. Children will receive a prize and drawing chance for every five (5) hours read during the program. Both time spent reading and time spent listening to another read counts for the program. The Metamorphosis summer reading program is for teens, ages 12-20 years. Teens will receive a prize and drawing chance for every five (5) hours read during the program. Reading logs for both programs are available at all three branches of the Jefferson County Library starting Monday, June 2nd. You may also print them out from our website if convenient. Reading logs must be returned to the library by Saturday, August 2 at 5:00 p.m. to be eligible for prizes. Download reading logs here: (starting June 2, 2008)
