Jefferson County Library offers a monthly Food for Fines amnesty on the last Friday of each month. Customers with outstanding fines for overdue materials may have their fines erased by donating canned food items. The library will waive up to one dollar in fines for each can of food donated. All the food collected goes to loca area food pantries. For more information click on the Food for Fines page under Library Programs in the Main Menu on this web site.
